JCI Bangladesh celebrates Pohela Boishakh 1431

The International Youth Leadership Institute, Junior Chamber International (JCI), orchestrated the highly anticipated celebration of Bengali New Year 1431. Held at the esteemed Project Hilsha alongside the Dhaka-Mawa Highway, the event unfolded on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, commencing at 3 PM and extending into the evening.

Distinguished guests including Senator Imran Kadir, the National President of JCI Bangladesh for 2024, and the First Lady of JCI Bangladesh, Samina Rupa, graced the occasion, joined by esteemed members of the national governing body and local presidents. Their presence added grandeur to the festivities, which were open to all JCI Bangladesh members, encouraging them to share the experience with family and friends, immersing themselves in the rich heritage of Bengali culture.

Attendees were treated to a myriad of cultural attractions, including a Ferris wheel, traditional Bengali doll dance performances known as Putul Naach, Bioscope screenings, and a Boishakhi Mela. Musical and dance performances captivated the audience, while a delightful array of traditional Bengali cuisine delighted their palates. The event culminated in a memorable and glamorous atmosphere, leaving an unforgettable mark on all who participated.

It's noteworthy that Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a global organization comprising enthusiastic active citizens aged 18 to 40, with a presence in over 120 countries and a community of over 200,000 members worldwide. In Bangladesh, JCI boasts 48 local chapters, actively contributing to the establishment of a more dignified society.
