DRU President Nomani, Secretary Sohel

Morsalin Nomani has won the president post of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) elections. Mainul Hasan Sohel became the general secretary.

Chief Election Commissioner Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul announced the names of the winners in the evening after the day-long election on Wednesday (November 30).

Morsalin Nomani was elected president after receiving 635 votes. Moinul Hasan Sohel elected as General Secretary got 823 votes.

Also Vice President Dipu Sarwar, Moinul Hasan Joint General Secretary, Saiful Islam Organizational Secretary, Sakhawat Hossain Sumon Finance Secretary, Kausar Azam Office Secretary, Maryam Moni Women Secretary, Kamal Uddin Sumon Publicity Secretary, Tofazzal Hossain Rubel IT Secretary, Mahbubul Alam Sports Secretary, Tanveer Ahmed Welfare Secretary, Naimuddin Entertainment Secretary and Mizan Chowdhury Cultural Secretary were elected.

The seven elected members are - Monir Millat, Ismail Hossain, Mohsin Chowdhury, Mozammel Haque Tuhin, Kiran Sheikh, Mostafizur Rahman Sumon and Ali Ibrahim.

The number of voters in this election was 1 thousand 744. Among them, 1 thousand 457 people voted. 43 candidates contested against total 20 posts.
